The field becomes (..) is a temporary transformative floor-based installation made for the collective Nordic groupshow STYKKER FOR LEIRE (Pieces for clay) at Kunsthall Grenland (Porsgrunn, NO) Nov.-Dec. 2024.
The installation explores the local industrial/geological history of the Porsgrunn area
in an investigation of landform fluidity, local terrain history and human altering of local landscapes.
It is build and performed by Nynne Hoe in co-creation with the artist collective and the participating audience during a one month mounting and exhibition period.
The video; A rug well worn, document the open space mounting process and shows how the floor layers slowly becomes intervowen with time in an entropic series of gestures.

STYKKER FOR LEIRE is an ongoing relational artwork and a collective exhibition project, developed in collaboration between the artists and Kunsthall Grenland since 2021.
The project approaches the interdisciplinary art phenomenon Fluxus by viewing it through clay as a performative material.
Members of the group are; performance artists Kristina Junttila (NO/FIN), Kurt Johannessen (NO) and poet/performance artist Sara Falkstad (SE), ceramic artists Karin Blomgren (SE), Manuel Canu (DK/IT),
Jens Erland (NO), Toril Redalen (NO) and Nynne Hoe (DK).
